Michael is a German citizen with expertise in diagnostic imaging + image guided therapies, as founder/innovator/CEO/investor, and research scientist. After a BSc. in electrical engineering he spend 5 years in San Francisco as R&D Engineer at a MRI and Ultrasound device manufacturer. In that time he graduated with a MSc. in Technology Management from Golden Gate University, San Francisco and back in Germany obtained his PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Witten.

Dr. Friebe currently is a research fellow of TUM in Munich, an adjunct professor at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, and a professor of HealthTec Innovation at the medical faculty of Otto-von-Guericke-University in Magdeburg, Germany.

He is a listed inventor of more than 100 patents, author of >300 scientific contributions, has started well over 25 medical technology start-ups, is a board member of four medical technology startup companies, and an investment partner of a MedTec investment-fund.

He is an IEEE Senior Member and was from 2016-2018 Distinguished Lecturer of the EMBS teaching innovation generation and future oriented MedTec translation/entrepreneurship from bench to bedside especially in combination with exponential technologies and by employing interdisciplinary approaches within an ethical and patient-benefit centered environment.

Dr. John D. Adams, Jr. is a urologist at Mississippi Urology Clinic in Jackson, MS. He has a general urologic practice treating prostate cancer, kidney cancer, with particular interest in surgical management of advanced bladder cancer as well other urologic conditions. John also serves as CEO of Lamina Solutions, LLC, whose mission is to redesign and improve bladder drainage to reduce catheter associated UTIs(CAUTI). Furthermore, he is a board member of Medical Assurance Company of Mississippi’s finance committee and spearheaded a national surgeon private placement in support of a novel surgical robotic system currently in development. His primary practice is located at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center and is a Clinical Instructor in Surgery for the Residency Program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Sanjay Srinivasan is an experienced advisor for early stage life science companies. He is the founder of Accent Advisors, a management consulting company which provides integrated business, technology innovation, operations, and commercialization solutions to companies in the healthcare space. Dr. Srinivasan also serves as an advisor to Otomagnetics and Navaux. He received his PhD in Chemistry from Oklahoma State University, and MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Dr. Bilal Chughtai is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Weill Cornell Medical Center, specializing in voiding dysfunction in both males and females. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive surgical techniques for incontinence, benign prostatic diseases, and vaginal reconstruction. Bilal completed his BA at New York University, his MD at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his residency at Albany Medical Center. He subsequently completed his fellowship in Female Urology, Neurourology, and Voiding Dysfunction at Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Bilal has over 120 peer reviewed publications, 25 book chapters, and 3 books on voiding dysfunction. He has also presented at numerous prestigious national and regional meetings in Urology and Gynecology.

Dr. William Grissom is the Medtronic Professor of Biomedical Innovation and Discovery in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University. He trained at the University of Michigan and Stanford University, and prior to joining Case Western he was a Research Engineer at GE Global Research in Munich, Germany, and a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He is an expert in MR technology and has considerable experience in the design of radiofrequency pulses, image reconstructions, and hardware for very low to ultra-high field MRI scanners.

Dr. Paul Russo is Chairman and CEO of Kyto Technology and Life Science, and the Founder & Chairman of GEO Semiconductor. Paul also serves as a Director of Achelios, InBay, Beam Semiconductor, and other start-ups. He is heavily involved with the Band of Angels and other such groups. Paul was the founder/Chairman/CEO of Genesis Microchip and guided the company through its NASDAQ IPO, and was on the board of ATI Technologies through its acquisition by AMD.

Dr. Harneet Bath is VP and Chief Medical Officer at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Prior to joining OSF, Dr. Bath worked at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, California, where he served as the regional medical director for Valley Emergency Physicians and the medical director for their hospitalist program. He has extensive experience working with quality initiatives and performance measures.

Dr. Kamal Patel joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) after serving as chief radiation oncology resident at Oregon Health & Science University hospitals in Portland. While there, he garnered the Rose Award for Excellence in Patient Care. In addition, he gained extensive knowledge of brachytherapy for patients with prostate cancer at the Seattle Prostate Institute. At CTCA, Kamal serves as Medical Director of Radiation Oncology, meeting with many cancer patients for whom radiation therapy may be a treatment option. He completed his internship in family practice at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and obtained his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School, where he also earned a master’s of science degree in applied physiology. Prior to that, Kamal received a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Iowa. He has given presentations and speeches to a wide variety of audiences, including the press (FOX News, at the NFL Chicago Bears Press Conference). He has become a fellow at Doximity, a position that he uses to influence his fellow physicians across the country.

Dr. Christian Renaudin is CEO of The Marketech Group (TMTG) and Managing Partner at Almond Tree Capital. At TMTG, Christian supports the expansion of the firm internationally and oversees the practice development in the European and U.S. consulting offices. With a triple background in medical technology, clinical training and marketing, Dr. Renaudin has a strong personal interest and provides leadership and consulting services in product innovation management.

Dr. Robert Waterhouse Jr. is Chief Medical Officer at United Healthcare Services Inc of North Carolina. He was a Medical Director at Carolina Urology Partners. Prior to that, Robert was the President and Managing Director at Piedmont Urology Associates. Previously, he was Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where he developed and directed a program for lithotripsy to treat kidney stones.

Dr. Nejd Alsikafi is founder of the Chicago Center for Urologic Reconstruction and Trauma. In 2006, he was recruited to move his urologic trauma and reconstructive practice to the Loyola University Health System, where he currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor. In late 2006, Nejd joined the practice of Urology Specialists of Lake County/UroPartners, and in 2015, he moved his entire reconstruction practice to UroPartners. Nejd is board certified in adult and pediatric urology by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Urological Association. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and served as president and secretary of Trauma and Urologic Reconstruction Network of Surgeons (TURNS). Nejd is a 1997 graduate of the Pritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago. Following medical school he was a resident in urology at the University of Chicago and completed his chief resident year in 2003. Afterwards he was accepted for a prestigious fellowship in urologic trauma and reconstruction at the University of California San Francisco. There he served as Clinical Instructor and has authored many publications on urologic health.

Dr. Katherine Klos is a urologist at Urologic Surgeons of Washington. She has a general urologic practice treating conditions like kidney stones, prostatic enlargement, voiding dysfunction (including urinary frequency and urgency), prostate cancer and erectile dysfunction. In addition, she has admitting privileges at George Washington University and Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Diego Olego is former Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at Philips Healthcare. He brings extensive leadership experience in global management of innovation from idea to market, R&D planning and execution, business incubation, technology and business strategy. Diego has strong domain knowledge in medical devices technologies, integrated solutions, market and business models.

Dr. Ash Tewari is the Chairman of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He is a board certified American urologist, oncologist, and principal investigator. Before moving to the Icahn School of Medicine in 2013, he was the founding director of both the Center for Prostate Cancer at Weill Cornell Medical College and the LeFrak Center for Robotic Surgery at NewYork–Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Neal Shore is the Medical Director for the Carolina Urologic Research Center. He practices with Atlantic Urology Clinics in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Neal has conducted more than 350 clinical trials, focusing mainly on GU Oncology, and serves on the Executive Boards of: Society of Urologic Oncology Board, Society of Urologic Oncology Clinical Trials Consortium, Secretary-Treasurer, and the Large Urology Group Practice Association (LUGPA). He is former President of LUGPA and also serves as the National Urology Research Director for 21st Century Oncology. He has served on the AUA Male Health Committee; he is currently a member of the AUA Data Committee, the SITC Task Force for Prostate Cancer, the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Think Tank and the editorial boards of Urology Times, Current Urology Reports, Chemotherapy Advisor, OncLive, PLOS ONE (Academic Editor) and Urology Practice. Neal has more than 100 peer reviewed publications and numerous book chapters. A graduate of Duke University and its Medical School, Neal completed a 6 month clinical research fellowship in Pretoria, and then completed his General Surgery/Urology training at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center and at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Senthil Nathan is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, working in two large teaching hospitals of London including University College Hospital London and the Royal Free Hospital. After graduating MBBS with honours from The Madras Medical College, Dr. Nathan completed his Masters in Surgery from Bangalore Medical College where he won The Association of Surgeons of India Gold Medal for securing the highest mark in the surgical exit exam. While working as an Assistant Surgeon in The Church of South India Hospital in Bangalore he was one among the first candidates to be selected by the Royal College of Surgeons of England to continue specialist training in the Overseas Training Scheme. After working in general surgery and obtaining FRCS in Yorkshire he chose to be a Urologist and obtained Diploma in Urology while working at Royal Free Hospital. He secured a Honorary Lecturer position at Guys Hospital to develop robotic techniques in urology. Along with Mr John Wickham and colleagues from The Imperial College he developed The Probot and carried out the first true robotic surgery in the world. Dr. Nathan is a Trustee of the SNJ Educational & Charitable Trust; Managing Trustee of the SNJ Education Fund; President of the Government Aided Secondary School, Venkatachalapuram, India; Advisor to the N Sethia Foundation and Trustee of the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation (Former). Dr. Nathan hails from a traditional business family from Southern India and has carried on the family business in textiles, plantations and venture capital investments.

Dr. Vipul Patel is the medical director of the Global Robotics Institute at Florida Hospital Celebration Health and medical director of the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute Urologic Oncology Program. He is a professor of Urology at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, and a clinical associate professor of Urology at Nova Southeastern University. Vipul is the founder of the International Prostate Cancer Foundation (IPCF) and a founding member of the Society of Robotic Surgery. He serves as an honorary professor at the University of Milan, Korea University and Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru, and was recently made an honorary professor of the Russian Academy of Science. He is the editor emeritus of The Journal of Robotic Surgery and editor of the first-ever robotic urology textbook. Vipul is one of the most experienced robotic surgeons in the world and has personally performed over 9,500 robotic prostatectomies. He previously served as director of the Robotic Surgery Program at The Ohio State University. During his tenure, he was also in charge of minimally invasive urologic surgery and associate professor of urology and bioinformatics. Vipul is board certified by the American Urological Association and completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami.
